Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"What a gem hidden in a beautiful historical town proud county area! Great vibe, unique history, exceptional service and on point delicious meals…highly recommend"
"In Saturday arvo of the long weekend. Pretty quiet. Nice old pub looking out on the town centre. Several eating areas - are at the bar. Bar tender was fantastic - friendly and gave some good info for looking around town. Two of the meals were great - steak and chicken burger. Salt and pepper squid was average - bit greasy and chewy."
"The Burra Hotel meals were excellent all 6 of us had beautiful meals taste and presentation will definitely go back again"
"Great central locations within easy walk of just about all of town. We three had chicken schnitzel parmie, fish n chips, rissoles, chicken breast, rump steak, bangers n mash and over two nights. Quick service. Limited wine list but good quality. Go again anytime."
"Such a lovely lunchtime venue. One of the best pub meals we have had. Location is great and walking distance to our caravan. Service was fantastic and owner is a great local with lots of knowledge If ever in Burra SA this is the place for a beer and a meal. Also Dog friendly in the nice outdoor area at the front - watching Burra go by"
"What an absolute gem of a pub! We stopped by for dinner and were blown away. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere nailed those authentic country pub vibes. The food, however, was the real star! The garlic bread focaccia is easily in my top three of all time; it’s a must-try. For the mains, I had the Thai Garlic Prawns, which were cooked to perfection. I couldn’t fault a single thing. Highly recommend!"
"We visited for a meal. The dining room decor is amazing. Glad we booked before we arrived as the place was packed on a Friday night. Food was great. Staff were pleasant and helpful."
"Had dinner, great setup for the kids, colouring in, toys, quite a few choices. Limited wine menu. Food was yummy pub food. Would be happy to eat there again when in town."
